Hey I'm back,

Stressed, tml is combase, I'm still forgetting my lines, I don't think I'm funny enough, what if the crowd sucks?
Tml is also my car practical exam, I really I want to pass this, but I'm still stalling engine and my car just brokefown just now.
Saturday is MONEY IN THE CAP, I really want to get through auditions, but Im still getting the same comments, meaning I have not improved.

It's been 3 and a half months. Fuck.

I don't need a listening ear, just someone who"ll be here.

flyers and relationships

so i have been earning some cash by giving out flyers, basically i think it is extremely boring and a complete waste of my talents. But it was for a good cause, my pocket. (100 bucks a day)

throughout the process i realised i had a lot of stoning time, thats when i started relating giving out flyers with things that we could better comprehend. Such as people and relationships.

so i decide to share here for the future me to refer to, 8 things(i know i had 10 >_<) i have learnt through flyer giving.

1. If you try hard enough someone will definitely have a look - you see not everybody likes flyers, but if you try hard enough someone will definitely take a piece of your paper and read it. they may not like what they read, but at least they read it.

2. what kind of flyer you are will attract what kind of people - in this case i was giving out Coach, Kate Spade and Burberry sales, so i was attracting those DAMNED TAI TAIs! and also occasionally a few rich teenage girls. so the jizz of it is to always be a coach, Kate Spade, Burberry flyer.

3. Be understanding - not tai tai wants to look at Coach, Kate spade and Bubberry, be understanding, some may already own one, or a few they just may not be the type that they want to buy at the moment, perhaps they are looking for higher end bags like LV or Chanel. Don't hate them just because they don't want you, no need to generate unnecessary hatred. Be understanding.

4. The Arrogant - people who don't give a fuck, they assume that they don't need everything and there's no flyer that would generate interest for them, so they don't even bother looking. for such people, don't give a fuck about them either, its their lost, you could be a 90% off LV flyer but they are the idiots who are not bothered, these people will regret in a week or two when their friends actually took the flyer and went to the sale... if you know what i mean...

5. The SORE - these people probably have been scammed by too many flyers in their life and they no longer have faith in them, it is possible to persuade them that you are not like any other flyers but its gonna take time, don't bother, they just seek pity, don't give a fuck, i am in no way relating this to any personal experience, HAHAHAHAHHA

6. Don't degrade yourself - don't make yourself sound cheaper than you already are.

what do i mean by that? well, usually aunties and uncles will not even bother browsing through coach, kate spade and burberry bags, however when you mention the word sale, they start forming long queues such as the H&M line at orchard road to HAVE A LOOK, nope, they are not evening buying, they are just having a look. these people may further degrade you than you already are. When the rich taitais see so many people grabbing for it, they are going to see you as a lower class and perhaps you are not longer a katespade but a guess.

i know i am making sense don't doubt me.

7. You are not going to like everyone you attract - people may like your flyers but you may not like them, frankly speaking you don't have a choice, if they like you, they will come up to you and take your flyers.... take..your... flyers... why does this metaphor seem to be moving out of place. no matter. well if they like your flyers they will buy your stuff, and you'll still benefit in some way, so don't reject them. go with the flow

8. Where you are - see, i was giving out flyers at suntec, and slightly richer people go to suntec, if i were to give out coach flyers at some heartland, the turnout would probably be horrendous. likewise if you're in Temasek poly, you'll be exposed to many people of your age if i may say, better looking, than if you are in changi prison (i know this is such a bad comparison) you'll be exposed to criminals and relatively bad people.

so i was walking home and overheard my neighbours quarreling, it definitely wasn't eavesdropping cause they were screaming at the top of their lungs, thats when two things came to mind.

treasure the little things, because small quarrels and bickering really isn't that big a deal, we never did wake the whole neighbourhood up quarreling, we never really did shout in the faces of each other, we never really quarreled till we had to bring up knives and wine bottles threatening each other. we never did.

love. the only reason they were quarreling, screaming at the top of their lungs is because they care. its because it matters to them what the other person thinks, the other party's opinion matters so much that they will die trying to explain to get them to understand.

Where to begin?

my definition of love. when i love something, i put my whole heart and soul into it, sacrifices are to be made, priorities to be set. things to be lost. to me, commitment and love go hand in hand. of course with the exception that too much of anything won't do any good. too much water wither the plants?

what im trying to say is that, when i say i love dance, i do it whole heartedly with passion, when i complain about the hard time i spent dancing my ass off, i smile to myself.

its seriously like having a girlfriend, i wonder if anyone catches this metaphor.

Then there are the different definitions of clubs, different definition of doing "your part".

is your part just dancing hard for the club?
is your part being involved in everything?
or is your part just being a name in the list?

Its my fault for making things like this, and i can't tell you how grateful i am when you bought the shoe for me. not because i got a new shoe. but because i felt good to know that you still care (perhaps a little, but it meant alot) for me. that being said, i still don't like not getting sleep in my own room. i still dislike him.

2 Major learning objectives after this camp. thanks to my dearest moodswing.

number one is not dance related. Suprisingly life related. Nathaniel Liu Jinnnie Jing Jing is growing up.

i don't think i kope well with changes, i saw myself whinning like a helpless girl who just lost her lollipop. i think i should learn to ADAPT to changes. even when all odds are against me, i should find a way to prove them wrong. Dionasaur(ugh) did it, and it helped me realise the power of not giving up. the power of teamwork, the power of creativity, the power of leadership.

secondly, more dance related.

why i started dancing? simple, it looked cool.

but why did i continue dancing? it expressed my feelings, it defined me clearer than words. There is no need to draw a line to differentiate genres of dancing, i think dancing should just be the way you interpret music, the way your body moves to it.
different genres of dance were created during different eras. because at different timings, different type of music were being played.
thats what i call dancing. feeling the music and reacting to it.

so i've decided that i'd be going for both modern and hip hop.

when i was looking out for friends in my new class, i was looking at humour. what they were laughing at or the jokes that they crack.

a good/bad sense of humour could mean alot of things. Laughing too much isn't good, not laughing is no better.

i enjoy witty jokes. Despise people who laugh at simple, cliche comments.

on my way back home, i was having a complex virtual debate with myself. it started by me whining, then i started telling myself it wasn't morally right to be whining about such stuffs.

gonna do a short post about hong kong. before i go to orientation camp tml. tough week. little sleep.

just got back from a one week trip. went to many places. hong kong is awesome, lived opposite NATHAN hotel. on NATHAN road. awesomeness. etan hotel.

basically hong kong is like a larger version of singapore. buses, trains (mtr), shopping(similar pricing), food(20 cents more expensive).

went to zhu hai and macau too. AND JUST TO CLARIFY THAT I AM NOT CHAO LAO. i got REJECTED for entry by 2 casinos ok. dun play play. but i did manage to get in the biggest one at the fake venice.

my first ever disneyland trip, so i wasn't half bad. they say hong kong one can't be compared to the elites, true but i had fun. the rides were boring. but still fun, cuz I GOT TO SEE BUZZ LIGHTYEAR. TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!

i liked it there. but i loved taiwan better. gonna plan a trip there next year. this year shall be genting.

its been awhile since i've had a special someone there for me. i think life has been great like that. no worries, no decifering what a pathetic 3cents sms could mean. ironically, sometimes i do miss the feeling of being special. i do get envious of couples on the train, and yet at times i mock their ignorance of reality.

many closed ones around me are having problems in their relationships. i hope for the better for them, my only advice is to follow your heart. Using your head to find a partner might get you a rich doctor or a hot model, but its not gonna find you love. relationships does take 2 hands to clap. time to make agreements.

half day shift. usually refers to working 1/2 the working hours. but my halfday was literal.

1.30 to 1.30. tiring shit. but learnt alot, and had my fun. setting up for event takes skills and muscles. especially when your product weighs from 3kg to 10kg. PER ITEM. and you order 8 of every size and colour. sizes start from 16 and ends at 31. with even and odd digits. and there are at least more colours than you can find on a rainbow. yes i might be expanding numbers here. but you catch my drift.

this morning i saw this guy wearing the half pants. his legs were shaven, or he just didn't have to hormones to grow any. anyhoo i saw him again at night.

then i thought to myself. those pants. i can never pull it off. because its meant for girls to show off their legs. and if you got hairy legs, don't wear em. if your leg is hairless, it just makes it look even more femanine. so i don't know why in heavens are people wearing that. maybe its just me (i use this sentence so it won't sound like an insult but i am)

Went to get my haircut today, i told him to FREESTYLE. and he did. he turned my thick mushroom head. to a ZHEN ZHONG MUSHROOM. HE GAVE ME BANGS

wanted to dye my hair, but apparently it was too dark to capture the colour, so i'll have to wait.

why? because i dyed it DARK BROWN. and apparently it just looked black.

this was during the ecp outing, me and tian hoe tried to focus our blowing power on ONE water bottle. WE MANAGED TO PUSH IT LIKE 3 inches. DON"T PLAY PLAY. BAND + DANCE.
